Big Pit Coal Mine
Blaenavon Industrial Landscape is a world heritage site in Wales, not far from Cardiff. It was an important area for coal mining and iron manufacturing.
On our trip, we can visit Blaenavon and go down the coal mine shown in the picture above. It's called "Big Pit" and my students were very excited to go down their first coal mine!!
